Cemented carbide valve seats are made using the cemented carbide cold extrusion process. The cold extrusion process is a fine metal forming process with little or no cutting and very low power consumption. The use of the cold kneading process for the production of formed metal parts has unparalleled advantages over cutting processes and is particularly suitable for the production of larger batches of metal parts, of which carbide valve seats are one of the applicable production parts. It can also be used as a forming process for products.
Cemented carbide as the primary material of cemented carbide valve seat, also has the performance of cemented carbide. With ultra-hardness, strong corrosion and wear resistance, and the ability to withstand high pressure. When tungsten and carbon are combined, they become the hardest substance in tungsten carbide. Tungsten carbide is a quick and easy way to weld hardfacing materials when parts and equipment are worn. Its versatility and flexibility in terms of application methods is unsurpassed. Cemented carbide hardfacing will reduce wear in a wide range of excavation and machining processes such as: ore, minerals, agriculture, construction, and surface mining stuff, drilling for oil and gas or horizontal directional drilling, excavation and circulation processes in excavation and machining.
